How are you feeling right now? How often do you take the time to appreciate the present moment, your emotions and feelings? As most of you know, when we created SMASH we said from the beginning that we are focusing on our mental health as much as our physical health so, with that in mind, welcome to...
Even though being mindful has always been part of SMASH, in March our focus will be Mindfulness.
If practising mindfulness is not something you are already doing then we hope to inspire you to start. If you are doing it every now and then, we hope to inspire you to make it something you do daily. And if you are already loving mindfulness and practise on a daily basis, we hope you will help us to inspire the rest of the community to see the incredible benefits to be had!
Do you want to react better to stress?
Do you want to enjoy every day that comes your way and see the silver linings in negative situations?
Do you want to be more open to your feelings and the feelings of those around you?
Do you want to stop living in the past or worrying about the future?
Do you want to sleep better?
Do you want to feel calmer?
We could carry on with an endless list of 'Do you want...' but if you answered yes to any of the above then join us this month and discover how mindfulness will help. Both of us know for a fact that mindfulness has helped us so much over the past few years and we will be sharing our journey with you over the coming weeks. We hope you will have an open mind and embrace this, even if it feels slightly alien right now...
If you are feeling inspired, download the Calm app. We both use this to meditate and absolutely love it, especially the 'daily calm' which has a different focus every day. We are excited to announce that we have been given the go-ahead from the Calm app creators to use some of their meditations in class! Starting this Monday, straight after SMASH, at 1pm in the Yoga studio there will be a 5 minute session
Be strong in body... and even stronger in mind.

P.S. Smash Run is moving to Tuesdays at 12:15pm from next week, don't forget!
