We just wanted to take a moment to tell you WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!
We know that coming to the gym can feel a bit of a chore sometimes and can be a challenge both physically and mentally, but week in and week out we see familiar faces, as well as new faces in our classes. You guys are coming and giving your energy, commitment and attention to our SMASH classes and we are proud to see how well you are doing! The improvements are visible to us and we hope you are seeing/feeling them too
If you are not attending our classes you are getting involved on social media or on our email list, and we are so proud of you for taking the step to improve your mental well-being.
We have a challenge for you...
Today we would like you to choose somebody in your life and tell them how proud of them you are. Maybe it's a family member, a friend or a colleague...
How often do we complete a task and not get recognition for it? If you are lucky enough to be in an encouraging work-space you may get praised for hard work... but more often than not, good work can be overlooked or praise not vocalised. So tell your colleague, tell your employee, even tell your boss how hard they have worked and how proud you feel of what they are doing. Even if it's for the smallest of things.
Do you often give praise to family members who helped raise you? Let your parent, aunts/uncles, grandparents know just how proud you are of what they have done for you over the years. Also look to your friends or partner, have they achieved anything recently that could do with an extra "well done"? No matter how small our achievements, recognition from people you care about can make a huge difference in the improvement of our mental wellbeing.
'Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped in to water, the actions of individuals can have far reaching effects' - Dalai Lama
Whoever makes you proud, tell them today. You can't predict the response you will get but you can know for sure it will create positive ripples in their mind for the rest of the day, perhaps even their week...
See you soon
