Our Follow-Along Workouts

At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the SMASH team (formally known as SMASH London) worked hard to bring you a variety of alternatives to help you get your dose of SMASH-style workouts! Below are a number of different follow along videos of varying lengths and all FREE! If you enjoy them please feel free to send your donations our way. It allows us to share our message with everybody and Every Body!!

As with all exercise programs, when using our exercise videos, we ask that you listen to your body. To reduce and avoid injury, ensure you only do moves that you feel confident to do correctly, and amend any moves that do not work for you.

By undertaking any fitness exercises, you are performing them at your own risk. If you do have any concerns or questions you are always welcome to contact us! Remember to adjust any of our workouts to your body , your space and to how you feel on the day. Protect your mental and physical health. ENJOY!

SMASH Classic Classes

Welcome to our very first SMASH Mind and Body follow along workout. We were still learning filming techniques so bear with us!

This workout is based on our class 'The Burn' and includes a warm up, cooldown and the mindful minute. To jump straight into round 1, skip to 2 minutes 26. Each round is 4 minutes with 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest 8x. Feel free to add you own music or find "The Burn" playlist on the SMASH Mind and Body Spotify Channel.

Welcome to our second version of 'The Burn' - this workout has 5 rounds, with 2 different exercises per round for 8x 20 second bursts of work. There is a 1 minute rest in between each round.

This workout is based on one of our very first SMASH classes 'Control', a unique workout created by SMASH Mind and Body, where you get to choose whether you follow Sam or Ash (or a bit of both) for the length of a song, combining strength and HIIT for a full body workout.

We have adapted these exercises for home workouts but feel free to add some weights to the mix! Each round works best set to music so we have set up a Spotify playlist (search for SMASH Mind and Body and you should find our Control workout) - in this video we recommend you specific songs but you can choose any song with a notable difference between verse and chorus.

Welcome to High 5 - inspired by our class of the same name, Sam will take you through 5 rounds of 5 exercises for 30 seconds per exercise. There is a minute rest between rounds for some mindful motivation!

The workout is based around use of a step but can be adapted if you do not have one. The workout DOES have a warm up, used as a way to practice the moves & adaptations

Welcome to our SMASH London 10 to 2 workout!

This workout can be done in 'real time' following Ash as he works his was from 10 reps down to 2. Your option is to learn the moves for each round and then do it at your own pace.

4 rounds, 2 exercises per round, with a bonus exercise at the end of each round. Listen with the sound up the first time for instructions and have fun with it.

In this workout we will be mixing some strength and cardio with a little bit of luck and a lot of fun! At SMASH Mind and Body (Formally known as SMASH London) we believe in challenging you mentally as much as physically and this is the perfect class for that.


10 Minute Workout Series

These videos have been designed so that you have the option to create your own longer workout, so please do add your own warm up and cool down.

Mobility

Today's workout is a gentle mobility workout aimed at senior citizens, people with limited mobility and desk workers - it can be used as a way to get rid of some of the cobwebs from the day and to get your body moving in a gentle, nurturing way.

In this video we have 2 rounds of 8 exercises. The first 4 are seated and are 30 seconds each with 10 seconds in between. The next 4 are standing but can be adapted if necessary.

Today's workout is a head to toe gentle mobility workout, which can be used as a great start to anyones day. It is great for pre and post natal ladies as well as, people with limited mobility and desk workers - it can be used as a way to get rid of some of the cobwebs from the day and to get your body moving in a gentle, nurturing way.

Upper Body

Today we are focusing on the upper body with 4 rounds of 4 simple exercises.

In today 's workout, Ash guides you through an upper body workout using resistance bands - these can be switched for hand-weights if you do not have bands to hand

There are 6 rounds with 3 moves per round and 45 seconds per move.

Today Ash is giving you a resistance bands workout focusing on the upper body. 4 rounds of 5 exercises (or an optional rest for move number 5).

Core

Today we are focusing on the core with 4 rounds of 4 simple exercises.

Today we are focusing on the core with 4 rounds of 5 exercises. 30 seconds per exercise and 5 seconds in between each to change position.

Today we are focusing on the core with 3 rounds of 4 exercises starting with 60 seconds per move, into 45 seconds and finishing with 30 seconds. This workout has been designed to be suitable for pregnant people - please make sure you take the adaptations that best suit your body and do message us if you would like any additional clarifications.

Lower Body

Today Sam is giving you a low impact bum burn! This workout can be done with body weight only, with resistance bands or with weights. 4 rounds of 4 exercises (with optional hold).

Today Ash is bringing you a resistance bands workout focusing on the lower body and core. 4 rounds of 5 exercises. If you have a timer app, set up the bleeps to every 30 seconds.

Today Sam is using sliders for a low impact, lower body workout. Please note that you do not need sliders for this workout - you can substitute for a couple of tea towels or cushions, or follow the workout without sliding at all!

Full Body Low Impact/Strength

Today Sam is giving you a low impact, full body strength workout with 3 rounds of 4 exercises. If you have some handweights or tins please have them ready!

Today Sam is giving you a low impact, full body cardio workout with 4 rounds of 4 exercises.

This week is UK pride week 2020 and today we are celebrating our bodies. No matter your size, gender, race, age and ability, you are amazing and have so much to be proud of!

This workout focuses on strength in the whole body with extra focus on the mental side of your workout! Sam uses small weights, but they can be substituted for tins or resistance bands (or body weight only)

Full Body High Impact

Today Ash introduces you to 'HIIT the road Jack' - All exercises involve some form of jacks with 4 rounds of 5 exercises (or an optional rest for move number 5).

Today Sam is challenging your motor skills with an agility cardio workout with 2 rounds of 4 exercises. If you have a timer app, set up the bleeps to every 60 seconds.


Our Instagram Live Workouts

Welcome to our first Instagram Live workout from 25th March 2020. In this one, Ash takes you through a fun HIIT and Strength workout featuring a coin-flipping challenge.

You need some weights, or some tins of beans as well as a coin to flip. Have the sound up to hear the instructions.

In this one, Sam takes you through a tough but achievable HIIT workout, challenging you and your stamina!

In this one, Sam challenges you to a SMASH themed quiz mixed in with a version of one of our favourite classes: HIIT or miss!
